Former peace officers (as enumerated in section 830, et seq. of the
California Penal Code) who retired from, or who were employed by
a law enforcement agency, located in Yolo County, a minimum of
five (5) years, and upon separation had qualified for deferred
retirement from their system. This includes, but is not limited to,
the California Highway Patrol, Davis Police Dept., UCD Police
Dept., West Sacramento Police Dept., Winters Police Dept.,
Woodland Police Dept., Yolo County District Attorney’s
Office, and the Yolo County Sheriff’s Department.
Former peace officers (as enumerated in section 830, et seq. of the
California Penal Code) who retired from, or who were employed by
a law enforcement agency, located outside Yolo County, a minimum
of five (5) years, and upon separation had qualified for deferred
retirement from their system; and who currently reside in Yolo
County. Examples: Sacramento Police Dept., Los Angeles Police
Dept., Contra Costa Sheriff’s Dept., FBI, Dept. of Homeland
Security, etc.
Former non-sworn employees (who performed law enforcement tasks/functions) who retired from, or who were employed by a law enforcement agency, located in Yolo County, a minimum of five (5) years, and upon separation had qualified for deferred retirement from their system. Examples: Community Service Officers, correctional/custodial officers, Crime
Scene Investigators/evidence technicians, deputy coroners, etc.
Former non-sworn employees (who performed law enforcement tasks/functions) who retired from, or who were employed by a law enforcement agency, located outside Yolo County, a minimum of five (5) years, and upon separation had qualified for deferred retirement from their system; and who currently reside in Yolo County.
Surviving spouses, or surviving qualified dependents, of any deceased, former member of the association, residing in or
outside Yolo County.
